Hi everyone — it’s Matt and Eve. This isn’t the update we hoped to be writing. Over the past few months, we poured everything into bringing Avalon Adventure Park to life, and the excitement from this community has been nothing short of incredible. That’s why what happened this week has been so difficult: not just for us, but for the families, grandparents, and kids who were already picturing themselves here.

 

We want to be clear about one thing — the setback wasn’t caused by a lack of interest, a weak plan, or anything this community did or didn’t do. We were moving forward, we met every requirement placed on us, and your enthusiasm was our strongest proof of concept. Unfortunately, the lender made a last-minute decision that removed the path to funding, and the weight of that decision falls on the dream we were building together.

But we’re not writing this to dwell in disappointment. We’re writing because Avalon always belonged to this community first — and that hasn’t changed. We're taking a moment to catch our breath, regroup, rethink, and decide on what direction makes the most sense.
